Illusions TCL Script for Eggdrop

Introduction

What?

Illusions TCL Script is an add-on to Eggdrop bots (IRC bot). This script will turn your plain eggdrop bot into a X/W (Undernet's old channel service bots) look-alike channel bot, which is based on access levels instead of flags.

Commands and syntaxes are the same as in X/W. New commands and features have been added to make the bot more useful.

Why?

Eggdrop bot uses flags as opposed to access levels. On an eggdrop most people have +o flag (otherwise they can't get ops), and with this flag enabled, they can practically do anything with the bot on that channel; an eggdrop lacks "something" in between flags.

Besides the flags on eggdrop bots, Undernet's (old) channel services X/W (written by WildThang and SeKs on Undernet) facinated me very much. The commands, access levels and features made more sense compared to an eggdrop.

How?

You need an eggdrop bot - only 1.3.x and 1.4.x series are supported at this time; there are no plans for adding support for 1.6.x series in the nearest future.

Before you install this script (or even download it), you should make sure, that your eggdrop is already fully functional:

is compiled and executable.
is setup and configured properly.
runs/works without errors.
